U.S. Bank National Association Sues Nesbitt for Loan Default
United States Bancorp (USB)'s U.S. Bank National Association filed a claim against a team of Nesbitt companies that possess 8 Embassy Hotels in the U.S. over cases they skipped on a $187.5 million loan.
The loan, made by Greenwich Funding Financial Products to Nesbitt in 2006, was designated to U.S. Bank in January 2011 and was in default by February, baseding on a complaint filed today in government court in New York. Nesbitt is obligated to repay $175 million in principal plus passion, the plaintiffs said.
"Each of the eight hotels are being needed by the franchisor to go through enhancements for which defendants lack the adequate funds to take on," the grievance states.
The hotels and resorts are in Bellevue, Washington; Blue Ash, Ohio; Colorado Springs, Colorado; Denver; Livonia, Michigan; Lynwood, Washington; Tigard, Oregon, and El Paso, Texas.
U.S. Bank asked the court to designate a receiver to take possession of the hotels. The Nesbitt business are charged of violation of agreement.
Windsor Management Services, led by Patrick Nesbitt, is the proprietor of the Embassy Collection Hotels called in the match, according to Windsor's website. Expense Upshaw, Windsor's chief running officer, really did not right away return a phone call seeking discuss the meet.
